ANNOUNCEMENTS

September Reading Calendar

Book Project: Sandwich Book Project (Directions are being sent home on September 1, 2010)  Project is due: September 30, 2010

Genre:  Realistic Fiction

Students will read a realistic fiction book that they have not read before.  They should choose a "just right" book.  Be sure to use the "Rule of Thumb" to determine if the book is too difficult for your child. (Have your child read a page in the novel.  If the student cannot read 5 words or more on the page, then the book is too challenging for him/her and he/she should select a different book.)

A list of suggested titles will be sent home but other realistic fiction books can be read for the September Book Project.
