A Message From...
Mrs. McMahon

My name is Cindy McMahon and I am the preschool teacher at St. Vivian School. I was born and raised in Weymouth, MA. I have a B.A. in education from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and have taught preschool for the past 23 years, starting the preschool at St. Vivian 14 years ago. Although I met my husband Mike in college, he is from Cincinnati, and we have been married for 37 years. We have lived in Massachusetts and Spain but settled in Cincinnati 31 years ago. We are the proud parents of three sons and one lovely daughter-in-law. Mike and all three of our boys are graduates of St. Vivian School. Hobbies? I enjoy reading, walks, and water aerobics. Mike and I like to travel in our RV whenever we get the chance! I love to visit my family and friends on the east coast.

If you are interested in observing our preschool-- please call 522-6858 ext. 224 to schedule a visit.  The three year old class meets TTH from 8:30-11:00.  The four year old class meets TWTH from 11:45-2:15.  You are welcome to schedule a visit and I can answer any questions at that time.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Welcome to St. Vivian Preschool!  Our school year starts the week after Labor Day and concludes the week before Memorial Day.

Our purpose is to provide a safe, stimulating, Christian environment that promotes the social, emotional, intellectual and physical development of each child.

Our program is licensed by the Ohio Dept. of Education.

My aide is Julie Borgerding.  Julie is a graduate of Mount Saint Joseph and a very important part of the St. Vivian Church music ministry.  She is a parishioner and graduate of St. Vivian School.

Please remember that teachers cannot be responsible for delivering tuition payments to the office.

Also, our classroom door will be opened and we will be ready to start at 8:30 and 11:45.

When you send snack to school, one bottle of 100% juice or white milk is plenty.  We don't need both.  If your child brings one carbohydrate (crackers, pretzles, etc.) and one fruit that's enough.  It gives the children reasonable choices.  Too many choices are overwhelming.  Snack suggestions are in the preschool handbook.  Please save cupcakes, cookies, rice krispie treats, etc. for birthdays or holiday celebrations.  Your supply fee of $10.00 pays for any cups, napkins, plates, etc. that we will use.  There is no need to send them with snack.

If you need to reach me at any time, put a note in your child's backpack, send an email, or call 522-6858 ext. 224, or 931-9994.  I will respond as soon as possible.

School closing information can be found on most television and radio stations.  I have seen it posted on channel 12 and heard it on radio station 700.  You can also check our school website, stvivianschool.org.  If St. Vivian School is closed, the preschool is closed.  If the school has a two hour delay, there is no MORNING preschool.
