A Message From...
Mrs. McMahon

My name is Cindy McMahon and I am the preschool teacher at St. Vivian School. I was born and raised in Weymouth, MA. I have a B.A. in education from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and have taught preschool for the past 22 years, starting the preschool at St. Vivian 12 years ago. Although I met my husband Mike in college, he is from Cincinnati, and we have been married for 35 years. We have lived in Massachusetts and Spain but settled in Cincinnati 29 years ago. We are the proud parents of three sons. Mike and all three of our boys are graduates of St. Vivian School. Hobbies? I like to bike ride. Mike and I like to travel in our RV whenever we get the chance! I love to visit my family and friends on the east coast.

If you are interested in observing our preschool, please call 522-6858 ext. 224 to schedule a visit.  The three year old class meets T.TH. from 8:30-11:00.  The four year old class meets T.W.TH. from 11:45-2:15.  You are welcome to schedule a visit and I can answer any questions at that time.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Welcome to St. Vivian Preschool!  Our school year starts the week after Labor Day and concludes the week after Memorial Day.

Our purpose is to provide a safe, stimulating, Christian environment that promotes the social, emotional, intellectual and physical development of each child.

Our program is licensed by the Ohio Dept. of Education.

As some of you already know, MaryAnn Nichols will no longer be my preschool aide.  MaryAnn has decided to retire which will allow her to spend more time with family and enable her to travel.  I'm excited to tell you that my new aide will be Julie Borgerding.  Julie is a recent graduate of Mount Saint Joseph and has been active in the St. Vivian Church music ministry.    She is a parishioner and graduate of St. Vivian School.

Please remember that teachers cannot be responsible for delivering tuition payments to the office.

Also, our classroom door will be opened and we will be ready to start at 8:30 and 11:45.

When you send snack to school, one bottle of juice or milk is plenty.  We don't need both.  If your child brings one carbohydrate (crackers, pretzles, etc.) and one fruit that's enough.  It gives the children reasonable choices.  Too many choices are overwhelming.  The snack suggestion paper is sent home in the snack bag if you need ideas.  Please save cupcakes, cookies, rice krispie treats, etc. for birthdays or holiday celebrations.  Your supply fee pays for any cups, napkins, plates, etc. that we will use.  There is no need to send them with snack.
