Ms. Heckle |
Hi! My name is Mary Joan Heckle. I am the half day Kindergarten teacher and I have been teaching Kindergarten at St. Vivian for thirteen years. I have also taught fifth, third and fourth grades at St. Vivian. I am married and have two children who attended Kindergarten through eighth grade at St. Vivian School. I am a life-long resident of Cincinnati and I spend my summers in Alaska with my family. |

| 9-7-10 Today we worked on the words "I" and "can". We reviewed upper and lower case letters and rhyming words. In Math we practiced counting objects and making a given number of fingerprints on paper caterpillar bodies. That paper is in their folder. We had a special bus safety program given by "First Student" bus drivers. We learned some proper bus behavior guidlines for when we ride the bus to field trips. Tomorrow is NOT one of our Mass days but we will have Music class with Miss Clark. It is Maeve's turn to bring snack on Wednesday. Please return the Party Volunteer paper if you can help out. Also, a boy in K-1 is missing a light blue shirt which is an XS and labeled Old Navy. If you have it, please send it back to school and we will return it to the right person. PLEASE label the clothing. We tell the children when they take something off, put it in their bookbag right away and take out the piece of clothing that needs to be put on. It sounds like a simple task, but many of them are easily distracted in this situation. Please be sure your child(ren) come home in their own clothes on FRIDAYS! See you tomorrow. |
