Ms. Heckle |
Hi! My name is Mary Joan Heckle. I am the half day Kindergarten teacher and I have been teaching Kindergarten at St. Vivian for twelve years. I have also taught fifth, third and fourth grades at St. Vivian. I am married and have two children who attended Kindergarten through eighth grade at St. Vivian School. I am a life-long resident of Cincinnati and I spend my summers in Alaska with my family.

| I hope all of you have a safe and enjoyable summer! I have listed some great practice books for Reading and Math skills. I found these workbooks at Walgreens, Wal-Mart, or Staples. There are also lots of great computer games to reinforce skills that we learned this year.
SCHOOL ZONE: Math Basics Grade 1, Time, Money & Fractions Grade 1-2, Spelling Puzzles Grade 1
AMERICAN EDUCATION PUBLISHING: Everything for early learning Grade 1 (Grade K book has some very good concepts for reinforcing what we did this year also.)
LEARNING HORIZONS: Ultimate Skill Builders Grade 1 or K
Have your child read as much as possible and play card games and board games that require counting and problem solving. Have fun and I'll see you in August. |
